HANDEL’S ICE CREAM CONTINUES MISSOURI EXPANSION WITH NEW LEE'S SUMMIT LOCATION

Celebrate Lee's Summit’s grand opening with Free Ice Cream for a Year for the first 100 guests on August 20.

LEE'S SUMMIT’S, MO, UNITED STATES, August 13, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Handel’s Ice Cream, the beloved brand serving ice cream since 1945, is officially expanding its footprint in Missouri. The newest location in Lee's Summit is located at 410 Northwest Chipman Road. The shop will celebrate its official Grand Opening on Thursday, August 20. The festivities will treat the first 100 guests in line to "Free Ice Cream for a Year." This celebration marks a significant milestone for the brand as it continues to grow within the state, representing the third Handel’s location to open in the Kansas City metro area within the last year, with more to come.

The new location is owned and operated by Todd and Traci Blackinton. This is the couple's second location, following their successful shop in Belton. After falling in love with the brand years ago, the Blackintons are excited to introduce this local favorite to the Lee's Summit community.

"We have seen firsthand how much this community values quality and connection, and we couldn't be more thrilled to bring our signature, handmade scoops to our neighbors here in Lee's Summit."

The scoop shop will offer 48 rotating flavors, pickup and delivery through DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Postmates, and catering services. The shop is open Sunday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
